LIXIL Jyutaku Kenkyusyo, a house builder of Japanese housing product maker LIXIL Group announced on July 31 that it has built a model house in Saitama Prefecture with a concept of a future house representing an era of 100 year-old life. With technologies such as IoT, high-efficient solar power generation, the model proposes a house for four families of five generations living together at low cost, in safe and healthy environment.

Multiple families develop a small community in the house, which helps with each other in raising children and caring for the elderly. The house has a shared space in the center and four individual units in the surrounding. Children and old family members are able to exercise using stairs and handrails. (2018/08/01)
