West Nippon Expressway Company is embarking on feasibility study of road business in Indonesia. The company, its subsidiary and Indonesian state-owned road operator signed April 22 a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in development of toll road construction. Followed by the technical cooperation agreement with Jasa Marga, the company aims to deepen their collaboration and expand its business in the country.
West Nippon Expressway, hoping to participate in road PPP projects in Indonesia and neighboring countries, launched an office in Jakarta in 2011, which has been a base for information gathering. Based on the MOU, the company aims to expand its business in the region taking advantage of Japanese advanced technologies of toll roads construction and management. (2014/04/30)
