Maeda Launches Joint Venture with Local Construction Leader in Turkey

Maeda Corp. announced May 27 that it launched a joint venture with Turkish leading construction company looking to participation in local construction and consultancy businesses. The joint venture aims to receive orders from Japanese companies building factories in Turkey and offer consulting services on Maeda’s technologies such as seismic base isolation and vibration controlling system.


Turkish construction spending is estimated to rise from $30 billion in 2012 to $88 billion in 2020. GKMC Construction and Consultancy Inc. intends to promote its businesses in the fields of infrastructure development such as Metro as well as in Official Development Assistance projects in Turkey and surrounding countries.
