247m Super High Rise Opens in Toranomon, Tokyo

Redevelopment of the area alongside the Tokyo Ring Road No.2 led by Tokyo Metropolitan Government has reached the goal line, opening a super high rise named Toranomon Hills on June 11. Mori Building Co., an appointed developer built the new landmark of the capital in the plot above the underground section of the road. The building was designed by Nihon Sekkei and the construction was implemented by Obayashi Corp.
Reaching as high as 247m, the 244,000m2 structure has offices, condominiums, a hotel, retailers and convention halls. The completion gives the neighborhood community space and vibrant commercial area as well as a business center with international standards. With newly open Toranomon Hills, redevelopment of the surrounding area will be accelerated. (2014/06/11)
