Shimizu Corp. realized beautifully-finished concrete that remains free from cracks caused by drying shrinkage for a long time. “Zero Shrink Concrete” placed in the company’s research institute two years ago proved its durability and undamaged appearances. The company aims at winning the first order this year promoting the technology to be applied in designed-centered buildings and places that need anti-flooding measures.
Shimizu’s knowledge on selected materials and the most suitable mixture enables no-shrink concrete. Demonstration was practiced on the buildings at the research institute and the concrete floor and wall have kept its beautifully-finished appearances with no cracks for two years. (2014/07/09)
