A subsidiary of Takenaka Corp. in Thailand opened a training center for construction workers in suburban Bangkok. It aims to improve the ability of local construction managers and to promote handing down the knowledge and techniques of local skilled crafts. Takenaka intends to make the center a hub of education for all the employees in Southeast Asia inviting members of other subsidiaries in the neighboring countries to the training courses. This will make the first training facility the builder established outside Japan. The facility called TAKSA modeled a hands-on training center that the company established in Japan three years ago. As training based on experiences such as seeing and touching is considered as important, full-scale models of frames, interiors and equipment are prepared to allow trainees to follow the training easily.
