Utility Works of Hung Ham Station on New Hong Kong Metro Line Awarded to Japan’s Shinryo

Shinryo Corp. announced July 16 that it received a \8.3 billion order of utility works such as air conditioning, ventilation, electricity and water of Hung Ham Station on a new line of Hong Kong Mass Transit Railway (MTR). The construction is now underway aiming at completion in April 2018.

The company has been commissioned to large-scaled projects in Hong Kong including rail stations and tunnels. 500 personnel, most of who are local staff, are employed at the branch office and a subsidiary. The company has long been taking roots in the local businesses.

The underground new railway, the Shatin to Central Line connects Tai Wai in the New Territories and Admiralty in Hong Kong Island stretching 17km. Completion of the northern section between Tai Wai and Hung Ham is projected in 2018, while the rest in 2020. (2014/07/17)
