Japanese Builders Increased Apr-Jun Overseas Order by 13.6%

48 top construction companies of Japan recorded overseas order value of 361.9 billion yen in Apr-Jun 2014, increasing by 13.6% from a year earlier, the Overseas Construction Association of Japan announced. Orders from Asia and North America have maintained in the high level.

The orders received in Asia recorded 225.4 billion yen, the largest among other regions increasing 12.8%, followed by North America of 107.7 billion yen and Latin America of 14.5 billion yen. 80% of the orders in Asia is building including factories. In North America, orders are mainly for general buildings such as residential, commercial and rehabilitation of existing buildings. (2014/08/01)
