Taisei Corp. announced on November 6 that it established a super strong concrete technology of FC 300 newton per square mile meter. As a world’s first application, pre-cast pillars made of FC300 concrete were applied at a construction site of its technology center. The diameter of columns is about one third of existing ones and not only strength but liquidity is enhanced by ingenious solutions of admixture, materials and their combination. Taisei intends to expand its application to various spaces.

The Strongest version of “Taisei sustainable and permanent concrete” is equal to steel materials of the highest level in the nation. It uses a chemical admixture, newly developed by Taisei and BASF Japan, a leading chemical company, which enables higher liquidity. Because the pillars can be thinner due to this new concrete method, Taisei can construct a wider space in the building. (2013/11/07)
