National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center will begin a competitive bidding process in January 2015 to procure a design-build contractor for the 114,700m2 new hospital to be relocated in Suita City, Osaka.

A contractor to be announced in March or April will be commissioned to build a complex that will have a 550-bed hospital and a research laboratory. Construction is slated to start within 2015 and completion is due by the end of 2017. AXS Satow was contracted to draw the basic design. (2014/10/27)
