Toda Corp. has secured a design-build contract of a new 85,550m2 hospital in Tranomon, Tokyo through a competitive bidding. The contract values at 40.65 billion yen. The 19 story new Toranomon Hospital will be built in adjacent area of the current hospital. Demolition of existing buildings will start in March 2015 and completion of the hospital is due in 2018. With a new hospital completed, the current Toranomon hospital building will be removed and another high rise with 167,300m2 total floor space will be built in the block. (2014/11/17)
