Toa Corp. announced on January 13 that it was awarded a 12 billion yen order of Lach Huyen Port development by the government of Vietnam. The port, located in Hai Phong city in Northern Vietnam, has been under development as the first Public-Private Partnership project of the two countries. The company will be in charge of the package 10 to build a 2.5 km embankment and 7.6 km sand protection in the 52 month period. The 160 billion yen port development is scheduled to complete in 2016 in a bid to expand capacity of shipping acceptance. Toa Corp has worked in part of the project as a member of contractor consortium. (20145/1/14)
