Japan’s Takenaka Wins 28 Billion Yen Order to Expand Singapore’s Changi Airport Terminal 1

Takenaka Corp. announced on March 3 that it was awarded a contract to expand Changi Airport Terminal 1 in Singapore. The order is valued at 28 billion yen. The company is an original contractor of the terminal which was first built in 1981 and has been responsible for all three expansion works since then. The 80 billion yen Terminal 4 has also been developed by Takenaka. Changi Airport Group, the employer, will expand the departure lobby and a baggage claim in T1 to improve passenger convenience.
