Group of Japanese Real Estate Leaders to Invest 180 Billion Yen in Makuhari New Urban Center Near Tokyo

Chiba Prefectural government announced it will sell a 175,809m2 plot in Makuhari New Urban Center in Chiba City, located east of Japanese capital to a group of eight developers at 28 billion yen. The group led by Mitsui Fudosan Residential Co. will develop total 4390 unit apartment towers and multi-use buildings with an investment of 180 billion yen.

The area will be divided in eight blocks, one of which will have 46-story residential buildings. Retail shops, medium-rise apartments, offices and a medical center are to be located in the other blocks. The residential complex is slated to launch from 2019 to 2029. (2015/03/31)
