Nishimatsu Construction’s Thai Subsidiary Achieves 5 Million Hour Zero Accident

A subsidiary of Japanese Nishimatsu Construction succeeded in consecutive 5 million hour free from accident at the factory construction site in Thailand. Applying Japanese safety management system using information technology, the local staff implemented safety measures and realized the record. The team achieved the consecutive hours of more than 5 million for the first time among all the company’s domestic and overseas construction sites.

The project is located in east Thailand to construct an automobile factory for Honda of 130,000m2 floor space. The construction started in October 2013 and the record was established on March 18, 2015. 1,000 laborers work at the site per a day in average. The company is introducing safety measures such as daily morning meetings, safety patrols and site cleaning, which are commonly operated in Japanese construction site. (2015/04/13)
