Japanese Infrastructure Ministry and Vietnamese Construction Ministry agreed to cooperate in human resources development in construction. Deputy Minister Bui Pham Khanh of Vietnam and Parliamentary Secretary Kazuhiko Aoki signed and exchanged the memorandum of understanding on April 16 at MLIT headquarters in Tokyo.

As part of a new policy of accepting foreign construction workers that MLIT launched this April, the two ministries will collaborate with each other to enhance the new scheme and to help Vietnamese agencies develop training courses. Workshops and seminars are to be held with an aim to exchange information between the two ministries. MLIT is expecting the Vietnamese side to send qualified workforce to Japan who can play important roles in the industry when they return home. (2015/04/20)
