Chiyoda Corp. announced on December 13 that its subsidiary jointly established with an affiliated company of Myanmar’s Construction Ministry will start rental office business in the country. The joint venture, Chiyoda & Public Works Co. Ltd. (CPW) will renovate an old government building in Yangon to a fully modified office building with latest facilities such as high speed internet, air conditioning and emergency power supply. Of total floor area of 8300m2 surplus spaces will be to rent, intending to satisfy increasing office demand in the largest city of Myanmar. The rental will start in July 2014.
CPW, established in 1997, has contributed to the country’s infrastructure development such as engineering and construction of copper refining plants, modernization of a fertilizer plant. Myanmar expects further economic development according to recent trend toward democratization. The demand of offices is rising in urban cities including Yangon. (2013/12/16)
