Yokohama City decides that it will procure design and construction works together in fiscal 2015 of newly-planned City Hall. The work period is expected as 30 months from 2017 to 2019. The city hall will be moved to a new site of 1.4ha in Kita Nakadori District.

The 30 story main building and the city council building will hold 146,800m2 floor area in total. The construction cost is estimated at 61.6 billion yen. The tender for the package of design and construction will be implemented through an international competitive bidding based on World Trade Organization’s Agreement on Governmental Procurement.
