The number of construction workers from outside Japan under the new system that Infrastructure Ministry launched in April reached 500, says MLIT on October 27.　With the plan approved by the ministry increasing steadily, the total number of workers welcomed by Japanese construction industry is expected to rise by the end of fiscal 2015.

103 hosting companies have submitted the plan to the ministry. 98 workers have already entered the country and 76 of them are Chinese, 12 are from Vietnam, five from Philippines, three from Laos and two from Indonesia. (2015/10/28)
