Global Logistics Properties, Japanese large-scaled warehouse developer announced October 30 that it will develop a complex of three logistics facilities totaling 320,000m2 floor in Nagareyama City, Chiba Prefecture. Construction will begin in 2016 with completion slated by the end of 2018. Total construction cost is estimated at 59 billion yen. A contractor has not been disclosed.
The three warehouses will have pre-cast concrete structures with four floors. Base isolators will be installed for anti-quake protection. The floors can be modified for the purpose of either logistics, production or terminal. President Yoshiyuki Chosa of GLP said the developer aims at integration of the whole process of supply chain from production to packaging and delivery at the new facility called GLP Nagareyama.
