A joint venture of two Japanese construction firms Penta-Ocean Construction and Rinkai Construction and Toyo Construction has been awarded dredging works for Lach Huyen Port development in Hai Phong City, norhtern Vietnam, the first Japan-Vietnam Public Private Partnership project. Penta-Ocean group’s Package 9 is valued at 19.8 billion yen, while Toyo Construction will receive 15.1 billion yen for Package 8. The projects are funded by Japanese Yen loan.
An employer of the two contracts is Ministry of Transport. Consultants are Nippon Koei-led group. Package 9 will dredge 14 meter deep under in the area of 160 meter wide, 10.3 kilometer long. Toyo will develop 14 meter deep sea line of 7.7 kilometer long. (2015/12/22)
