Yamashita Sekkei Won Competition of 1500 Bed-Hospital Design in Suzhou, China

Yamashita Sekkei Inc. announced on January 31 that it won an international design competition for Suzhou University Hospital in Dushu Lake, China. The Japanese design firm was highly evaluated for its detailed arrangement plan enabling the highest standard of medical services. This was the first Chinese competition won by Yamashita alone.

A total 200,770m2 medical center will be built in a 150,6295m2 plot in Suzhou Industrial Park, which will hold 1500 beds once the second phase of construction finishes. The total investment reaches some CNY 2.1 billion. Two US companies and a German firm besides the winner participated in the race. (2014/02/03)
