Central Nippon Expressway Company Ltd. will develop and operate a multi-purpose shopping mall in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, which makes the first project ever　developed outside the expressways by any of the expressway companies. The company and a city mayor signed a contract on January 31 at the city hall.

A 5.6 ha of the designated research park named Plasma Research Park will be rent to the company. A 1,160m2 community center, a spa facility of 2,880m2, a shopping center of 8,780m2 will be built by Central Nippon Expressway, who aims to start commercial operation in 2015. The research park is located near Toki-Minami Tajimi Interchange of Tokai Ring Road Expressway. The company expects to attract 1,500,000 customers a year with a multiplier effect of an outlet mall adjacent to the park. (2014/02/03)
