Takenaka’s High Rise Awarded Outstanding Concrete Structure

Takenaka Corp. won an award of Outstanding Concrete Structure by The International Federation for Structural Concrete, the fib, for its state-of-the-art works for a high rise apartment building in Kawasaki-city. The bronze plaque was presented on February 10 during the fib congress in Mumbai, India, which made Takenaka’s two consecutive awards after winning by a structure in Fukuoka-city at last congress in 2010.


Park City Musashi-Kosugi, a 59 story apartment building which was once the tallest residential structure, used FC 150N super strong concrete for the first time in Japan. Various technologies including a vibration control system for earthquake resistance were applied to the 200 meter tall building. (2014/02/17)
