Shinryo Corp. Awarded District Cooling Plant for Abu Dhabi Airport in UAE

Shinryo Corp. announced that it was awarded a contract of District Heating and Cooling (DHC) plant first phase development at Abu Dhabi International Airport in UAE. The plant capacity is expected to be enhanced to as much as 60,000 refrigeration tons along with the expansion work of the airport. The company, selected by international competitive bidding, will be in charge of the whole process including engineering, procurement, installation and test operation. The expanded airport is scheduled to open in July 2017.


Shinryo has track records of DHC in many places such as Shinjuku, Tokyo, and Yokohama, having the largest market share of DHC in Japan. It strives to expand its business abroad mainly in South East Asia. The order received outside the country reached 54.5 billion yen in April-September period in 2013, nearly 40% of the total order value. The Abu Dhabi airport plant makes Shinryo’s third contract won in Middle East, following the two projects in Dubai, UAE. (2014/02/18)
