East Japan Railway Company announced an outline of a project planned in Yokohama Station to build two structures totaling 118,000m2 floor space by 2020. The complex will be located at the west gate of the station. One of them will have three underground and 26 above ground floors with some 94,000m2 floor area, housing retail shops and offices. The other 24,000m2 building will be constructed in the adjacent area connecting each other by a pedestrian bridge. The schedule of the work start is yet to be announced. (2014/03/05)
