Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism will announce an invitation for technology providers of infrastructure monitoring using sensors and information technology. Selected technologies will be tested on site. Working groups established under the special committee will discuss details of targeted technologies to be invited from six sectors of infrastructures.

Six sectors are marine and coast structure; bridges; slopes; dikes and banks; tunnels; airports. The committee on March 20 decided to hold three meetings in fiscal 2014 to discuss the detailed procedure of technology invitation and demonstrations. (2014/03/24)
